Maintenance Technician

The Manufacturing Maintenance Technician will utilize previous experience and expertise to setup, maintain, repair and upgrade production and assembly equipment, converting and filling equipment, perform building maintenance and repair, and assist with purchase and inventory management of supplies, materials, parts, tools, and external contractors.

Essential Responsibilities

Perform troubleshooting, repair and installation of

  • Mechanical devices and components including Gears, bearings, drives and gearboxes, timing systems

  • Electronics devices and components including Servo motors, Servo Drives, low and high voltage AC & DC motors, sensors, PLC’s, computers, and computer interfaces, I/O modules, actuators, power supplies, transformers, heating and cooling controls and systems

  • Pneumatics systems including compressors, logic circuits, actuators, sensors

  • Proficient use of hand and power tools

  • Perform fabrication of equipment and parts through welding and machining

  • Read and comprehend complex schematics, blueprints, specifications, procedure manuals and instructions

  • Follow standard work protocols

  • Understand and promote safety in all areas of the facility

  • Accept direction and work with minimal supervision

  • Coach and train operators in basic maintenance of machinery and equipment

  • Communicate status of maintenance projects and issues with management

  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • 2 years of experience troubleshooting and resolving mechanical and electrical equipment issues

  • Strong organization, prioritization, multi-tasking and planning skills

  • Strong communication skills, verbal and written

  • Basic keyboarding, computer skill and MS Office knowledge

  • Flexibility to adapt and meet fluctuating schedule and priority changes

  • Flexibility to work overtime as needed

Preferred Qualifications

  • Vocational/technical certification

  • Experience with automation, controls and PLCs

  • Experience in manufacturing environment

  • Experience in a FDA regulated environment

Work Conditions

  • Frequent standing, bending, twisting and turning, and repetitive use of hands and wrists

  • Occasional lifting, pulling and pushing up to 80 lbs
